Hello. I’m Dr. Jack Wolfson, board certified cardiologist and I spent many years working in the hospitals, doing angiograms, pacemakers and all the high-tech cardiology stuff, and now I practice in a different way.

I use nutrition and lifestyle to prevent, treat and reverse heart disease.

Now, there are 10 different ways that we can lower our cardiovascular risk and I’m going to tell you about three of my favorites right now.

Number one – eat organic Paleo foods. Let’s not debate about diet. Let’s understand that our ancestors ate a certain hunter-gather way for millions of years, and that’s how we should do it today.

Now the real key here is certainly doing things organically because when you eat organic food, you’re getting rid of all the chemicals, pesticides and the synthetics. That’s definitely very important.

And then of course you want to stay away from all of those refined foods and refined grains as well. Anything that comes in a box is something that you should certainly limit. Pack yourself full of green leafy vegetables…nuts, seeds, eggs, avocados, coconuts, and grass-fed meats and certainly wild seafood.

So, that was number one, Organic Paleo Nutrition.

Number two, I want you to detoxify your life. Get all the chemicals out of your house. Whenever you think about things like laundry detergent, fabric softeners or dryer sheets, think about things that are natural. If they are not natural, get them out of the house.

This goes for household sprays, household air fresheners, things you bring into your house. In short, anything you bring into your house. Is it toxic or not? If it’s toxic, don’t bring it into the house.

And the third thing I want to tell you about it evidence-based supplements.

Evidence based supplements are a fantastic way to stay healthy in this world. They supplement the healthy lifestyle. And there’s lot of evidence that these are beneficial, so you want to look into different things. For example, like doing a daily greens, and a multivitamin, Omega 3 fish oil and digestive enzymes and probiotics. These are things that help supplement the healthy lifestyle.

So, as for now, out of the top ten things I just gave you three good tips.

I’m Dr. Jack Wolfson, the Paleo Cardiologist of The Drs. Wolfson. We’ll see you next time.
