Safe Suncreen

If you are friends with The Drs. Wolfson, you probably know that we LOVE the sun. Naked in the sun is one of our favorite backyard activities.

We embrace the power of sunlight to prevent illnesses such as heart disease, cancer, auto-immune and everything else.

Sunlight makes vitamin D, normalizes cholesterol, increases nitric oxide, produces melatonin, and controls all hormone production and function.

Concerned about breast cancer? Get your breasts in the sun. Want good male hormone production, get your testes in sun. Colon cancer, pancreatic cancer, brain cancer…get in the sun.

People with high vitamin D have the lowest risk of EVERYTHING. The answer is not a capsule of vitamin D. The answer is the sun.

Can you get too much sun?

Sunburn is bad, sunshine is good. Spring break trip from Chicago to Miami when you got fried in 1990? That was bad.

If you are concerned that you may be getting too much sun at the beach or wherever you may, there are 3 options.

  1. Get in the shade
  2. Wear a wide-brimmed hat and long sleeves and pants. Rash guards are great for the kids in the pool all day.
  3. Use sunscreen. ORGANIC sunscreen.

How do you know what sunscreen to buy?  Make it easy, buy this sunscreen and this sunstick.

There are two types of protection against sun UV rays in the skin products: mineral or chemical.

Mineral is either zinc oxide (our preferred) or titanium dioxide.

Chemical is a longer list that includes: oxybenzone, octinoxate, homosalate, octisalate, and octocrylene.

According to the Environmental Working Group and their collection of studies, all of the above chemicals can effect hormones, reproductive capacity, thyroid function, and/or cause allergic reactions.

If you cannot pronounce the ingredient, don’t use it.

In truth, very little research has been conducted on ANY of these products.

That includes the latest craze, glitter sunscreen. This stuff is pure poison applied by young girls who have no clue as to the dangers.

Here is the list of ingredients in the above product.

What you put on your skin goes right into your body. Look at this witch’s brew including phthalates, aluminum, and artificial colors.

Think all these ingredients have been tested as safe? The answer is no.

Think all of these ingredients are safe for YOUR child? Who knows….and why take the chance?

Here are the ingredients in the Badger sunstick- Zinc oxide, organic olive oil, organic shea butter, organic sunflower oil, organic cocoa butter, organic beeswax and vitamin E. That is IT!

The Drs. Wolfson are here to help YOUR protect your most prized possession…you and your family’s health.
